Increasing college access and success through zero-textbook-cost degrees!

This courses focuses of the use of Open Education Resources (OER) and Open Education Practices (OEP) to (1) design learning experiences that use interactive open content resources. This will reduce the cost of attending college and/or the cost of training since all resources are provided for free as part of the learning environments, such as an online course. Current Post covid-19 college strategies advocate the use of OER courses to design online programs that are that are less costly and scalable. Such programs/degrees are called Z-Degree. Z as in zero: Increasing college access and success through zero-textbook-cost degrees. Also, research has shown that student success in an online course depends on many factors, including particularly, applying sounds practices to effectiveley facilitate an online course. Effective Online Teaching is critical in delivering on promises of student success in online learning environments. We have documented and curated such practices. Please see this OEP site
